Bluepower assisted in demanding rescue operation in Lithuania

When an American armored vehicle with four soldiers disappeared in a swamp near the border with Belarus, a comprehensive rescue operation was launched with military personnel from Lithuania, Poland and the United States. Bluepower assisted in the operation with its newly purchased suction truck.

Bluepower’s Kjetil Bakke and driver Tommy Skoglund Kristensen spontaneously contributed special equipment – a powerful suction truck – which was transported from Poland to Lithuania to assist in the work. The suction truck was crucial in removing mud, oil and water so that the divers could attach the cables and pull up the sunken vehicle. The unexpected help was greatly appreciated, and Kjetil Bakke was later invited to an official dinner at the American Embassy in Vilnius, where his efforts were highlighted by Ambassador Kara C. McDonald.

– The most important thing for us was to be able to contribute where we saw a need. When our technology can make a difference, we will do it, says our CEO Kjetil Bakke.

This is an example of Bluepower finding smart solutions to various challenges. With our modern and mobile equipment park, we have many opportunities to assist our international customers.
